We started our tour in Memphis, Tennessee home of Graceland, Sun Studios and Beale Street

Top temperatures in Memphis had been unseasonably high the week before our arrival, hitting the low hundreds on the old scale each day.

The Heartbreak Hotel, (right) told us this on our ride from the airport. The weather was warm for our stay too but in a more pleasant range in the low thirties (Celsius).
